Pricing FAQ
- How much does The TCG OS cost for collectors?
- Nothing. Collecting, valuation, set completion, the Pokédex and the wishlist are free, and no payment details are ever requested. The set library and card prices are open even without an account.
- How much does it cost for a card shop?
- £25/mo in the UK, or $29/mo in the US. That is the whole base platform — every sales channel is included, and there is no commission on what you sell.
- Why is the US price not a currency conversion of the UK price?
- £25/mo and $29/mo are set independently for each market rather than converted at an exchange rate, so neither moves because the FX rate moved. You are charged in your own currency.
- When does the free trial start, and what is included?
- Your free trial starts the moment you create your shop, so you can set up, bring stock in and try the workflow straight away. Approval is a separate step: it is what makes your shop window visible to collectors. It runs for 3 months and covers the full vendor base tier, with no card required to start. Payment details are only requested if you choose to continue after the trial ends, so the trial cannot roll into a charge you did not intend.
- Which sales channels are included?
- All of them — there is no channel upsell. Stock is allocated across shop, card shows and eBay, one unit on one channel at a time, which is what makes overselling impossible.
- Is there an offline point of sale for card shows?
- Not yet. Selling at a show runs in the same web app as the rest of your stock, so it needs a connection. Offline recording is built on the server side and waiting on the mobile app — until that ships, plan for signal at the table.
- Can collectors check out and pay on the platform?
- Not today. Collectors browse a shop’s live stock and contact the shop to arrange the purchase. The sale itself happens directly between buyer and seller — there is no checkout, no payment and no order held on The TCG OS. That is also why there is no buyer fee to quote: there is no checkout to charge one on.
- Is there an annual plan or a discount for paying yearly?
- Not currently. Billing is monthly only. If an annual option is added it will appear on this page.
- Do you take a commission on sales?
- No. The monthly subscription is the whole cost of the platform — selling more does not cost more, on any channel. That covers our fee only. Payment providers, external marketplaces such as eBay, shipping and taxes charge what they charge, and we are not in a position to waive any of it.
- Can I cancel, and what happens to my data?
- You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your inventory and transaction history remain yours.
- Are there any paid add-ons?
- Intel, the market-analysis surface for shops, is an optional add-on at £10/mo on top of the base subscription. Everything listed as included above is in the base price — add-ons are extra surfaces, never a paywall in front of core inventory or selling.
- Is AI card grading free?
- Yes, while it is in open beta. Every collector can grade cards from a photo at no cost today. If that changes, the price will be announced here before it applies to anyone.
- Do I need to pay to see card prices?
- No. The full set library, every card page and its price are public and need no login or payment. Pricing only applies to running a shop on the platform.
- How quickly is a new shop approved?
- Shops are reviewed by hand — normally within one business day. Vetting every seller before they can list is what lets a collector know who they are buying from.
- Where do your card prices come from?
- Aggregated from third-party market-price sources and refreshed on a schedule, with the source depending on the game, the language and the printing. The methodology, refresh rates and known coverage gaps are documented in full on the price data page.
